Pressure Washers for Quick and Effective Removal of Grease

Grease is a major problem for operators of industrial equipment. When grease congeals on the machinery, it can damage machine parts and pose a danger to workers. Grease is also a hazard for workers and customers in food and retail outlets. Removing grease is not easy. The regular soap-and-hot water treatment is inadequate. What you need is a pressure washer that uses a combination of high pressure and high temperature to break down accumulated grease and clear it away.

Hot Water Pressure Washers

Hot water pressure washing machines are very effective for cleaning greasy surfaces. Hot water softens heavy grease for easy removal by machines with high pressure levels and flow rates. For cleaning industrial equipment and in commercial settings, hot water pressure washers should have minimum pressure level of 1000 PSI. Flow rate depends on the availability of water; it can vary from 2 GPM to 5 GPM for optimal effectiveness.

Steam Pressure Washers

Steam pressure cleaners are very effective for removal of grease. Higher temperatures offer better cleaning. The use of high-pressurized steam will dissolve stubborn grease stains for their quick removal. Devices that can heat steam to super high temperatures (up to 330ºF) can remove grease deposits more quickly than hot water or low temperature steam pressure washers. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to the temperature capabilities of a machine prior to purchasing.

When buying pressure washers, it is recommended that you buy multiple temperature settings device. These pressure washers will allow you to control temperature settings for water, so you can use the machines for different kinds of cleaning purposes. Invest in pressure washers that have hot, cold, and steam settings.

Heating

Heating is an important aspect of devices used for removing grease. Whether it is heating water or super heating steam, built-in heating components play a crucial role in grease removal devices. Many suppliers offer devices with aluminum heating coils, which are good conductors of electricity but have poor heat resistance. In fact, steel or carbon heating coils are ideal for super high temperatures.

Portability and Power

Before you buy pressure washers, take a moment to think about how you plan to use them. Will you use it for outdoors for cleaning concrete, bricks, and steel? Or do you plan to use them indoors to clean machinery? For outdoor use, consider pressure washers powered with gasoline or propane, because steady electricity supply cannot be guaranteed.

For indoor applications, the machinery can generally run on electricity. Electric pressure washers create less noise and do not generate fumes, making them safe for use indoors. Portability is necessary for outdoor use; however, many commercial establishments prefer to use portable pressure washers indoors as well to avoid movement of cumbersome equipments while cleaning.

A combination of high pressure levels and high temperature can be dangerous if your cleaning equipment is of low quality. They can be easily damaged and pose a threat to people around. Invest in quality - not only will the equipment last longer; it will be safe and efficient in removing greasy stains.
